My idea for the Rodent prompt was so good, I didn’t have a single alternative option. I wanted to draw a rat king. Unfortunately, I couldn’t look too long at reference photos because rat kings are pretty gross. Hence, this was drawn based purely on imagination. And it shows because it’s really, really rough.

I got the idea to do a rat king because The Last of Us Part II is still stuck in my head even after I finished it months ago. It’s just something that lingers in your mind, tugs at your heart, and antagonizes your soul. And one of my favorite parts of the game involves the Rat King. I’m not going to say anymore in case you, The Reader, have yet to play the game and don’t want to be spoiled. Let’s just say the first time you see the Rat King, it’s a genuine HOLY SHIT moment.

This rat king however is far from scary. It barely even registers as spooky. It’s just icky and I’m not going to look at reference materials for it ever again.
