The biggest, bulkiest, spookiest character ever would probably be Cthulu of the Great Old Ones. I’ve always been fascinated by Cthulu and the whole Lovecraftian section of Horror. There’s something about unspeakable evil in various monstrous forms that appeals to me. That’s why I drew this dreaded water elemental for the Bulky prompt.

I wanted to draw more details here but I’m not on a level where I can do this Elder Thing justice. So I used a lot of shadows and relied heavily on silhouettes here.

I’m not as happy with how I did water here as I was in my Wisp entry. I just couldn’t get it to work with Cthulu’s scale. I’m happy with how the sky turned out to be, though. Also, he doesn’t show his hands because I can’t draw hands.

The word “Bulky” is written on the boat which also kind of looks like a car? I had to draw that in there to help with scaling.

Let me know what you think about this big boy of Lovecraftian lore by leaving a comment below! Also, I shared my Inktober 2020 entries on Instagram. Follow if you fancy.
